The feature competition section of CONIFF 2014 includes a range of recent films which are all making their Ethiopian premiere at this festival. The feature selection consists of 11 titles chosen from (x) submitted entries debuting the following features: Chika Anadu’s B for Boy, Kenneth Gyang’s Confusion Na Wa, Soussaba Cisse’s Rumours of War, David Tosh Gitonga Narobi Half Life, Shams Bhanji’s Zamora: to the more established names of Lincino Azavedo (although Virgin Margarida is his first dramatic feature), Moussa Toure (La Pirogue), Oliver Schmitz (Life Above All), Ntshaveheni Wa Luruli (Elelwani) and Judy Kibinge (Something Necessary). The list is completed with the Second feature from Ethiopian Director Yidnekachew Shumete’s Nishan.  Together they provide a rich spread of recent film features from the continent.
